The Pew Charitable Trusts and the William Penn Foundation release Getting Beyond Breakeven: A Review of Capitalization Needs and Challenges of Philadelphia-Area Arts and Culture Organizations. They collaborated on this study to learn more about fiscal conditions and needs in the local cultural community. They hired TDC, a consulting firm in Boston, to undertake the study. TDC relied heavily on financial information available from the Cultural Data Project. They also interviewed leadership from a diverse subset of Philadelphia cultural organizations as well as local and national funders.
